It's Offical Mason is a cowboy!!! Or as he puts it, "a horse rider".
Mason loved jumping with his cus' but had to be reminded not to jump too hard and knock them off (being the oldest has advantages and disadvantages). 
Shaun was adorable when he put his hands over his face/eyes because the bouncing made his head hurt, but he still wouldn't get off cuz Shaun is just one of those kids (doesn't matter how much it hurts he's doing it because it's suppose to be fun and he doesn't want left out).
We also have a great time visiting Steph, sorry I mean Opal. Lucky for us she (sort-of) lost her job so she had lots of time to spend with us visiting, going to the park, watching movies, and playing Truth or Dare (Yes you read that right-I was a deprived youth and never played so Steph, her best friend Tauni, and her boyfriend Travis played with me). We kept it clean though-just did a few things like borrowed an egg and sang for the drunken neighbors. We also learned A LOT (maybe too much) about each other.
Will and Anna had to work during the week, so we had a nice dinner and visit with them on Sunday. Thanks Anna for the delictable dinner. Will felt left out on Saturday's activities of Truth or Dare so Will, Anna and I played Truth or Truth while the kids slept (that's the lazy way of playing-no doing stupid things just learned more about each other and asked questions that we would like to know about each other but doesn't come up in everyday conversation). It was actually very enlightening-it's surprising how little we often know about our own family sometimes.
Grandpa bought a pony for the grandkids and since Mason is the only one big enough to ride it yet, Mason says it's 'his baby horse'.
Mas did SO good! The first time he rode he wanted Mommie to ride with him. After a couple of times around the corral he was good riding it by himself, but Grandpa held the lead rope and the horse was in the corral. Then after a few more round of that Mason was ready to ride the pony in the volleyball pit so Grandma & baby 'Ess' (that Mason's Elise) could see him. While in the sand Grandpa tried to get the horse to trot, but he got a little spooked and julted forward and ran around a circle a couple 
of times. Both Grandpa and Mom were afraid Mason would fall off, BUT HE DIDN'T! He held on tightly to the saddle horn like I told him to. Mas was a little startled, but when both Grandpa and Mommie were impressed with how well he held on he was proud of himself. (If I can figure out how to download video's I put it one where Mas almost fell off).

During that time Grandpa taught Mas how to get the horse to go, stop, and turn. Granpa CAN'T WAIT for next year when Mas will be big enough to go on a real horse ride in the mountains. Maybe all the guys can take a horse/camping trip for a couple of days....
We also got to spend so time with the cousins (Kean-is standing and Shaun-is sprawled out).

It's fun having the boys for Mason to play with now we just need so girls in the family for Elise-Candace is working on little Grace (due in July) Yes Candace I'm going to call her Grace, it's adorable and we have been calling her that since you got pregnant with Shaun-you can't change it on us now!

This is the great room (or Kitchen/family room). Yes, we have a fireplace and we have used it once-but just for a romantic dinner in front of the fireplace-I don't think we will ever really need it for heat here, but it's fun. The sliding glass doors off the kitchen lead to the back yard. (just so you know the curtains are NOT my taste at all! It was the model home for Richmond American Homes-and you know how some decorators are with Model homes.)
This is the small back yard,but we love that it is completely fenced and No maintance (though I do miss some of the flowers and yard work from our old house). Mason loves that he is free to go outside whenever he wants to. We even have some of the neighbor kids who sit on the fence and talk to him, blow bubbles with him, etc. 
Oh, if you're wondering-no we don't keep the grass that green-it is FAKE GRASS. It's actually kindof nice and soft and again no work to keep green.
This is the view from the front of our house, they are currently building houses across the street, but other than those few houses you see there is nothing but sage bush and hills to the North of us. It's nice not to be in the center of the city. We still get to feel like we are in a smaller town and it's not too hectic. Our neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful; kids even play in the streets and we have an ice cream man who comes around every day.
